Comprehensive Clinical Assessment

We provide Diagnostic Assessment Services to children and adolescents who are in need of a clinical determination for treatment. This service is available to those who are new to the mental health system or for whom a determination is needed as to the appropriate level of services to meet their needs. My Therapy Place serves those who voluntarily seek help, referred for services, as well as those who are recommended by Department of Social Services or ordered by the courts to receive a diagnostic assessment. 

Trauma Informed Assessments

Children process emotional trauma differently. Following a traumatic event, we focus on each child’s response and symptoms. Our assessment is based upon the child’s stress response measured using the following tools:

• A Comprehensive Clinical Assessment that includes a clinical interview of child, guardian or caretaker

• Trauma Symptom Checklist for Children.

• UCLA Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Index

• Possible Additional Measures
