Therapy generally starts with an intake meeting to fill out the initial paperwork. During the intake all pertinent information will be discussed. This includes insurance, policies, and client rights. During this appointment the therapist will ask a wide range of questions to complete a Comprehensive Clinical Assessment. This initial session also allows the therapist to get an idea of exactly what type of help is needed. It is the beginning of putting together the course of treatment. The fee for the intake session is $150.00 with no provided insurance verification.
ON-GOING THERAPY AND FEE INFORMATION
Excluding the initial assessment, individual therapy sessions are typically 45-90 minutes long. This will vary depending on the age and needs of children and their families.
Agreements about payment amount and method will be discussed prior to the first therapy session. My Therapy Place PLLC operates on a “fee-for-service” model, meaning payment will be required at the beginning of each session. A copy of the invoice is provided for the parent or caregiver’s records.
Insurance providers will be billed directly. It is important that parents or caregivers are aware of their deductible and co-pay amounts. My Therapy Place PLLC is more than willing to prepare a referral form until services can be provided. All upcoming providers should be accepted by June. Referrals are welcome and will be placed on a waiting list.

Weekly (or biweekly) time slots are scheduled for each child and/or family ahead of time. It is critical to attend each session or give proper notification of cancellations. Missed sessions are not billable to insurance and will be billed directly to the parent or caregiver if the proper cancellation procedures are not followed. A no show fee will be charged of $50. Missed session or late cancellation fees are only waived for emergencies
